Katherine Martin

Katherine is an experienced facilitator, consultant and qualified coach who draws on over 15 years' experience as a learning and development specialist in the private, public and not for profit sectors. Her most recent role was in a leading City law firm.

During this time she has designed and delivered a range of initiatives for internal and external clients that bring about change at the individual, team and organisational level. These include succession planning, organisational development projects, senior team facilitation, one-to-one and team coaching, and skills based training programmes. She works closely with her clients to build strong and trusting relationships, which create a positive environment for challenge and change. She supports them to capitalise on their strengths and to identify pragmatic solutions to areas they need to develop. She recognises the individual's natural talents and uses these as the building blocks from which to flex their behaviour and style.

Katherine’s style has been described as energising, engaging and insightful providing a blend of challenge and support that allows her clients to explore the past but more importantly shape their future.

In addition to being a qualified coach Katherine holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour, a BA (Hons) in Psychology and is level A and B accredited and qualified in the use of a range of psychometric tools including MBTI (step I & II), Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI) and NEO-RI.

Kerry Nield

Kerry Nield

Kerry brings over 15 years' experience as an internal learning and development consultant in various City organisations including investment banks and, most recently, a leading global insurance and risk management firm. During this time she has designed, delivered and managed programmes across a broad range of personal and professional skills for both individuals and groups at all levels of the organisations.

She combines an in depth knowledge of learning and development theory and practice with a sound understanding of commercial priorities.

Kerry manages to quickly and thoroughly understand the needs of clients to deliver results. Her solutions might include working with an individual on a one-to-one basis, working on a project, running a workshop or facilitating a large scale conference. Subjects covered include all aspects of managing others and performance management as well as communication and influencing.

Kerry brings a lively and enthusiastic delivery style into her work – bringing people along with her at every stage. She believes in being both challenging and honest; encouraging all individuals to leave understanding much more about themselves and others they work with.

Kerry has an MSc in Organisational Behaviour and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. She is a qualified NLP practitioner and accredited in the use of psychometric personality and assessment tools including OPQ and MBTI.

 
 

Kerry and Katherine met in 1993 when working together running development programmes for graduates in a City-based company. We have each pursued our own careers as in-house learning and development specialists, shared our experiences and learnt from each other along the way developing a fantastic personal and professional relationship.

Although “two heads are better than one” might sound like a cliché for us it brings a richness and quality to our work that simply couldn't be achieved working independently. Whilst some of our clients may only be working directly with one of us, all our clients benefit from the collaborative approach we take ensuring we pool our 30+ years' experience of working in a variety of organisations, industries and sectors. We use this experience to question assumptions, explore new ideas and build relevant and practical solutions.

We have worked with some exceptional learning and development specialists, both internally and externally, and feel we have a real insider’s view of how to make the relationship with a consultancy flourish.
